Did you know that before we pray, we must be super clean? That’s right! In Islam, we do something called Wudu (Ablution), which is a special way of washing before Salah (prayer). It’s like getting ready to meet someone very important – and who is more important than Allah?
Allah tells us in the Qur’an:
📖 “Indeed, Allah loves those who purify themselves.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:222)
When we do Wudu, we wash away dirt and even small mistakes we make! The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
🕊️ “When a Muslim makes Wudu, his sins fall off just like leaves fall from a tree.” (Sahih Muslim)
That sounds amazing, right? So, let’s learn how to do Wudu step by step!
Step-by-Step Wudu Guide
🌊 1. Say ‘Bismillah’ (In the name of Allah).
Start with the name of Allah. It brings blessings!
💦 2. Wash your hands (3 times).
Make sure to clean between your fingers too!
👄 3. Rinse your mouth (3 times).
Swish the water around and spit it out.
👃 4. Clean your nose (3 times).
Sniff a little water into your nose and blow it out.
😊 5. Wash your face (3 times).
From your forehead to your chin, make sure your whole face is wet.
🖐️ 6. Wash your arms up to the elbows (3 times).
First the right arm, then the left.
🖐️ 7. Wipe your head (1 time).
Move your wet hands over your head from front to back.
👂 8. Wipe your ears (1 time).
Use your wet fingers to clean inside and behind your ears.
🚶 9. Wash your feet (3 times).
Make sure to clean between your toes too!
✨ 10. Say the special dua after Wudu!
“The doors of Jannah (Paradise) will be opened for anyone who does Wudu properly and says:
‘Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh’.”
(I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His servant and messenger.)
💙 Now, you are ready to pray! Wudu makes you feel fresh, clean, and close to Allah. Try to always stay in Wudu – it brings lots of blessings!
